The Washburn House Facility carries on a storied history in a building that was established in 1896. The funds came from Ichabod Washburn, a Worcester industrialist and philanthropist. Upon his death, Washburn directed that his money be used to provide shelter for people who had struggled with disease or misfortune.
When we founded Washburn House, we wanted to maintain the principles that were so important to Ichabod Washburn and help those who struggle with the disease of addiction.
Comfortable, Spacious Rooms
Washburn House offers facilities for men and women, with separate wings for male and female guests. Our Medically Monitored Detox space has 26 beds. The rooms sleep two, with shared bathrooms. For Clinically Managed Inpatient Care patients, we provide 32 beds, in singles, doubles, and triples. Each room as its own bathroom.
Dedicated Care for Every Guest
Detox and Clinically Managed Inpatient stay in separate parts of Washburn House Facility. This ensures you receive the level of care and attention you need at each stage of your recovery.
Full Kitchen and Staff
Washburn House provides three meals a day, along with snacks. We don’t provide catered meals, as many other facilities do, because we want every aspect of Washburn House to feel like home.
Instead, our full kitchen staff prepares meals in-house. This means we can easily cater to your needs, including any food allergies or intolerances you have.
Your Washburn Family
All of Washburn House’s guests and members of the Washburn House staff are part of the community. That never changes, no matter how long you stay. All our guests are important to us and remain in the Washburn family, including those who have completed a recovery program and returned home.
